Financial Controller

About the RoleLuna PR is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the Company's financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and internal financial controls.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting, and compliance, with the ability to manage day-to-day finance operations while providing valuable financial insights to support business decisions and the Company's continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payroll, and reconciliations.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.Lead the annual budgeting process, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.Monitor cash flow, working capital, expenses, and financial performance to ensure effective financial management.Establish, maintain, and improve internal financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures.Ensure compliance with applicable UAE financial regulations, VAT, Corporate Tax, and relevant accounting standards.Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks, and other financial service providers.Monitor client billing, outstanding receivables, vendor payments, and overall financial obligations.Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic planning and business decisions.Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational processes.Support the management of financial systems, documentation, and overall financial governance.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA is preferred.Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, including experience in a financial management or controller role.Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.Solid understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with senior management.Previous experience in a PR, marketing, professional services, or agency environment is an advantage.
