Financial Controller

We are working with a leading international business who are seeking a financial controller to take ownership of statutory reporting, financial accounting, audit and tax compliance across multiple European entities.This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Europe and overseas, while driving best-in-class financial controls, reporting and process improvement initiatives. Reporting into the Regional Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing statutory accounting, external audits, tax compliance and financial reporting across the UK, Ireland and France.Key ResponsibilitiesLead statutory reporting and financial statement preparation across multiple European entities.Manage external audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.Oversee VAT, corporation tax, withholding taxes and wider regulatory compliance requirements.Ensure accurate intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.Partner with senior leadership on accounting, tax and financial reporting implications of new initiatives.Drive process improvements, automation projects and enhanced financial controls.Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team.Manage budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting for statutory entities.About YouACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.Strong background in financial accounting, statutory reporting and audit management.Experience operating within a complex international or multinational environment.Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and corporate tax requirements.Previous leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing teams.Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives.Proactive, commercially minded and motivated by continuous improvement.What's on Offer?Senior leadership role with significant visibility across the business.Broad international exposure across multiple jurisdictions.Opportunity to influence finance strategy and transformation projects.Collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong progression potential.Competitive salary, bonus and comprehensive benefits package.If you're a technically strong accounting leader looking for your next challenge within a global organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
