Location: Stockholm, SwedenIndustry: International Group / DistributionThe OpportunityWe are supporting an established international group in the appointment of a Financial Controller / Senior Financial Controller to strengthen its Swedish finance operations.The business is currently undergoing an exciting period of integration and transformation, bringing together two Swedish entities and creating a more streamlined, efficient and scalable finance organisation.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, hands-on finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and working closely with senior management.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial reporting accuracy, supporting the integration of the Swedish businesses and driving improvements across the finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of financial accounting, monthly reporting and financial controlling activities across the Swedish operations.Support the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.Coordinate and support the year-end audit, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.Act as a key finance business partner to the local CEO, Commercial Director and wider management team.Support the integration and standardisation of financial processes across two Swedish entities.Play an active role in the consolidation of the Swedish finance and back-office functions.Support the planned ERP migration, with existing systems including Microsoft Business Central and Visma.Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, internal controls and operational efficiency.Initially focus on strengthening the finance function, before taking on broader responsibilities across both Swedish businesses.Your ProfileStrong background in Financial Controlling, Accounting or a similar senior finance position.Excellent technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on experience in financial reporting and month-end/year-end closing.Proven experience supporting or managing external audits.Comfortable taking ownership of financial processes and operating independently.Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central or Visma, with exposure to system implementations or migrations advantageous.Previous experience within an international group, multi-entity organisation or business undergoing transformation would be beneficial.Commercially minded, with the ability to support senior management while maintaining a strong accounting focus.Proactive, hands-on and confident working in an evolving business environment.Native-level Swedish and strong English communication skills are essential.Why Consider This Opportunity?Join an established international group undergoing meaningful organisational transformation.Take ownership of key financial controlling and reporting activities with significant visibility across the business.Play an important role in integrating two Swedish operations and improving financial processes.Work closely with local and international senior leadership.Benefit from the opportunity to develop into a broader finance leadership position as the organisation evolves.Interested?If you are an experienced Financial Controller looking for a role offering ownership, visibility and long-term progression within an international business, we would be pleased to hear from you.Apply directly or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
