Financial Controller | Fintech Startup

Our client is a Dublin Headquartered, multinational FinTech startup. They are seeking a new Financial Controller to join at an important stage of its growth, with responsibility across financial control, reporting, planning, governance and finance operations. A key focus of the role will be maintaining a robust control environment while building scalable finance processes and infrastructure that can support continued growth.The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the business, providing high-quality financial insight and helping to drive commercial decision-making. The role will also involve regular engagement with external auditors, advisers, banking partners and regulatory stakeholders, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to take on a broad, high-impact role within a dynamic fintech environment.Main ResponsibilitiesTake overall responsibility for the financial management, reporting, control and governance of the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including management accounts, statutory reporting, accounting policies and financial statements.Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, providing senior leadership with clear analysis and insight into business performance, profitability and cash flow.Develop and maintain a robust, scalable financial control framework, ensuring appropriate processes, policies and governance are in place as the business grows.Oversee tax, regulatory and other financial compliance requirements, working closely with external advisers and relevant stakeholders to ensure all obligations are met.Act as a key finance partner to the leadership team and wider business, providing commercial insight and supporting strategic and operational decision-making.Lead relationships with external auditors, advisers, regulators and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.Drive continuous improvement across the finance function, including the development of processes, systems, automation and reporting to create a scalable and efficient finance operation.RequirementsACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.Ideally trained in a top-tier advisory or accounting firm, with around 5+ years' PQE and experience within financial services, fintech, technology or another high-growth environment.Proven experience operating at a senior level with responsibility for financial management, reporting and control.Strong technical accounting knowledge, with excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Experience working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial or scaling business environment.PackageCompetitive base salary dependent on experienceBonusPensionHealthcareFull benefits package including professional subscriptions, death in service and other benefitsHybrid working For more information please contact Simon Morris in Morgan McKinley via LinkedIn DM or simonmorris@morgannmckinley.com
