We design and sell premium portable lamps, mirrors, and objects for the home — direct to consumers across Europe and the US.We're a team of 20 people, with a management team of 4 across operations, finance, marketing, and product. The team is young — mostly in our twenties and thirties — paired with experienced individuals in key roles. There's a lot of opportunity at Blossholm for people who want to accelerate their careers and we actively invest in the people who show up with that mindset.The roleThis is a Financial Controller position with a clear path to CFO as the business grows. You'll sit between bookkeeping and our current CFO — owning the budget model including forecasts, and financial controls that keep the business moving in the right direction.You won't just be reporting numbers. You'll be in the detail — pulling sales data from Shopify, reviewing entries in our accounting system, building rolling forecasts, and finding opportunites for savings. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to shape the financial strategy of the brand.The first few months will be about understanding the business, cleaning up data, and building the models we need. From there, you'll systemise processes with the help of AI and make it yours.What you'll be working on:Budgets, KPIs, and rolling forecasts — improving and maintaining the financial model that drives our decisionsPulling Shopify sales data into the budget model alongside actuals — understanding the commercial performance of the business at a granular levelControlling bookkeeping accuracy — reclassifying miscoded entries, ensuring clean data, and working closely with our outsourced bookkeeperCost optimisation across the business: payment processing fees, subscriptions, conversion costs, and marginsInventory planning and demand forecasting — working with the operations team to align stock with growthReporting financial performance to the management team and founders in a way that drives action, not just informationWhat we're looking forEssentialA finance or accounting degree with professional exams completedStrong fundamentals in accounting and financial controlExperience in a post-graduate finance role — audit, graduate scheme, or in-house financeStrong pattern recognition in numbers — you spot what doesn't look right before anyone else doesComfortable doing the detailed, manual work before building the systems that automate itHigh integrity — this role has full visibility of the company's finances, and trust is everythingBased in EuropeFluent EnglishNice to haveExperience in e-commerce, consumer goods, or D2C brandsExperience, interest and an understanding of using AI in financeFamiliarity with Shopify or similar platformsDanish or another Scandinavian languageAs an individualWe're looking for someone early in their career who has the foundations locked in and is ready to build on them. You should be self-directed, hungry to learn, and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.This role starts hands-on and grows into something strategic.
