You’ll partner with senior leadership and the wider business to:Drive commercial performanceImprove operational efficiencyStrengthen financial controlsDeliver meaningful commercial insightIntroduce scalable systems and processesLead the adoption of ERP, AI and automation across financeWorking closely with the Founder/CEO, Fractional CFO and senior leadership team, you’ll become a trusted business partner who combines technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen and systems thinking.What Success Looks LikeWithin your first 12–18 months, you will have:Successfully implemented an integrated ERP and AI-powered finance platformAutomated key finance processes and reduced manual reportingEstablished an accurate, efficient and timely month-end processDelivered trusted reporting and commercial insights to support strategic decisionsImproved group consolidations across all international entitiesEmbedded robust financial controls and governanceEnsured tax and statutory compliance across every territoryBuilt a high-performing finance team with clear ownership and accountabilityEstablished Finance as a proactive commercial partner to the wider businessMain ResponsibilitiesAI, Systems & Process ImprovementLead the migration from Xero to a fully integrated ERP platformDefine finance system requirements alongside key stakeholdersDrive automation, standardisation and AI adoption across the finance functionReduce manual processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of reportingIntroduce scalable systems capable of supporting continued international growthFinancial Reporting & ControlOwn the monthly close process across all entitiesProduce accurate and timely monthly management accountsDeliver board reporting, KPI dashboards and meaningful commercial commentaryContinually improve the monthly reporting pack using Xero and FathomEnsure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled and appropriately supportedDevelop and maintain a robust financial control environmentLead annual audit preparation and manage external auditor relationshipsMaintain accounting policies and ensure compliance with relevant standardsGroup Finance & International OperationsLead monthly consolidation across the UK, UAE, Netherlands and US businessesManage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and eliminationsEnsure accurate foreign currency accounting and multi-currency reportingCoordinate the preparation of statutory accountsManage relationships with international tax advisersEnsure VAT, corporation tax and other statutory filings are completed accurately and on time across all jurisdictionsCommercial Finance & Business PartneringAnalyse business performance, profitability and marginsProvide meaningful commentary and actionable commercial insights alongside monthly resultsSupport budgeting, forecasting and long-range planningBuild financial models and scenario analysis for strategic initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve profitability and cash generationPartner with operational leaders to support commercial decision-makingChallenge spending and identify cost-saving opportunities across the businessCash Flow & Working CapitalMonitor and optimise cash flow and working capital performanceOwn cash forecasting and liquidity planningOversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliationsSupport credit control and supplier payment processesImprove visibility across cash requirements and future investment decisionsLeadership & Team DevelopmentBuild, develop and lead a scalable finance functionRecruit and develop additional team members as the business growsManage and coach the overseas bookkeeperCreate clear ownership and accountability across the teamFoster a post-qualified experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance roleExperience within eCommerce, retail, consumer goods, FMCG or another fast-growing, multi-entity businessStrong technical accounting knowledgeExperience preparing consolidated management accounts across international, multi-currency group structuresProven experience improving financial reporting, controls and processesExperience managing audits, statutory reporting and tax complianceStrong commercial acumen and business-partnering skillsConfidence influencing both finance and non-finance stakeholdersAdvanced Excel skills and experience analysing large data setsExperience managing and developing finance team membersBonus If You HaveExperience implementing an ERP systemExperience
