I am working with a leading international financial services organisation in Dublin to appoint a Financial Crime Compliance Manager.This is a newly created role working directly with the Head of Financial Crime Compliance and is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in an advisory and oversight capacity, assessing complex Financial Crime risks and working closely with the business to influence risk decisions. This is a Second Line of Defence role responsible for supporting the provision of Financial Crime oversight, advice and challenge across a European Payments Acquiring business. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, Risk and Compliance teams, you will contribute to the effective management of financial crime risks whilst supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives.You will provide advisory support on complex Financial Crime matters, contribute to policy and governance activities, support risk assessments and remediation programmes, and helpenhance the control environment across the merchant lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Providing Financial Crime advice across merchant onboarding, customer lifecycle management and new business initiativesReviewing high-risk merchant referrals, escalations, policy exceptions and risk assessmentsAdvising on AML, sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption and wider Financial Crime risksSupporting Financial Crime policies, standards and regulatory requirementsProviding oversight of remediation programmes, audit actions and regulatory deliverablesAnalysing Financial Crime trends, incidents and emerging risksContributing to thematic reviews and assessments of Financial Crime controlsProducing MI, risk analysis and governance materials for senior stakeholders

Requirements

Strong Financial Crime, Compliance or Risk experience within banking, payments or financial servicesMinimum of 10 years Financial Services experience, 5 of which working in a financial crime related role Experience within a Second Line Financial Crime/Compliance environment Prior experience in Payments/ Merchant Acquiring is highly desirable, although not essentialGood knowledge of AML, sanctions and wider Financial Crime riskUnderstanding of European cross-border regulatory requirementsStrong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skillsICA, ACAMS or similar qualifications would be an advantageIf you have experience across Financial Crime and Payments, I’d be very interested in speaking with you.Please get in touch directly for a confidential discussion.#FinancialCrime #Compliance #Payments #FinancialServices #afrecruitment #weknowpeople
