Financial Director

Job Purpose:The Director of Finance will be responsible for leading the financial management of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing financial performance, and enabling the company’s long-term growth. This role requires strategic oversight of financial planning, treasury, and governance functions, while providing senior leadership with critical insights to drive decision-making.About the Company:We are a publicly listed company operating across the different sectors. We are committed to delivering innovative technology and communication solutions to both government and enterprise clients, driving digital transformation, growth, and excellence in every aspect of our business.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy & PlanningLead the development and execution of financial strategies to support the company’s vision and growth.Provide accurate and timely financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.Develop annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and financial models aligned with corporate objectives.Financial Management & ReportingOversee accounting, financial reporting, and auditing functions to ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations.Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and board presentations.Track financial performance against business plans and highlight variances with recommendations.Implement robust financial systems, dashboards, and KPIs for improved decision-making.Governance, Risk & ComplianceEnsure strong internal controls, risk management frameworks, and adherence to corporate governance standards.Oversee tax planning, compliance, and engagement with external auditors and regulators.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of listing requirements, market regulations, and financial legislation.Treasury & Cash Flow ManagementManage liquidity, cash flow, and working capital to support operational and investment requirements.Oversee banking, financing arrangements, and capital allocation decisions.Evaluate investment opportunities and optimize capital structure.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor the finance team, driving a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.Build organizational financial capabilities to support a fast-growing, listed IT company.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent strongly preferred.12–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, and listed company financial requirements.Experience in financial planning, analysis, treasury, and risk management.Background in the IT or technology sector preferred.Skills & Competencies:Strong strategic and commercial acumen.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.High integrity and professional judgment in decision-making.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
