Location: Hong Kong Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on International Financial Controller to lead the financial oversight, reporting, and compliance of our global subsidiaries across Ireland, Israel, the United States, and Mexico.

Based in Hong Kong, this role will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and drive consistency in accounting practices across multiple jurisdictions.The successful candidate will be a seasoned finance professional with a strong technical accounting and financial reporting background. The role requires extensive hands-on experience in group financial consolidation, with a minimum of 5 years of direct responsibility for consolidating complex, multi-entity and multinational groups, from Big Four accounting firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) or the equivalent. Candidates should ideally have received professional training at a Big Four accounting firm and possess significant experience in audit, financial reporting, and consolidation of international businesses. The candidate must demonstrate deep expertise in group consolidation, intercompany accounting and eliminations, foreign currency translation, acquisition accounting, complex consolidation adjustments, and preparation and review of consolidated financial statements. Strong knowledge of IFRS, HKFRS/HK GAAP, and U.S. GAAP is essential. Experience in managing the consolidation and financial reporting process for entities across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with local finance teams and external auditors, and operating within a fast-paced, multinational corporate environment is highly preferred.In addition, the ability to work effectively across different cultures, time zones, and regulatory environments is expected. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & ConsolidationOversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for all international subsidiaries.Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Ensure timely and accurate reporting to headquarters and senior management.Analyze financial performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to management.Technical Accounting & ComplianceEnsure compliance with:IFRSHong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS / HK GAAP)U.S. GAAPCoordinate with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with local statutory and tax reporting requirements in Ireland, Israel, the U.S., and Mexico.Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on the Group.Global Finance OversightProvide financial leadership and guidance to finance teams across all international subsidiaries.Standardize accounting policies, financial processes, and internal controls across entities.Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting packages.Ensure consistency in accounting treatment across jurisdictions.Internal Controls & Risk ManagementStrengthen and maintain robust internal control frameworks across the Group.Identify operational and financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.Business PartneringPartner with regional business leaders to support commercial decisions through financial analysis.Provide guidance on accounting implications of strategic initiatives, acquisitions, intercompany transactions, and new business activities.Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Treasury & Cash ManagementMonitor international cash flow and liquidity.Oversee intercompany funding, foreign exchange exposure, and cash optimization strategies.Ensure effective management of banking relationships where appropriate.Process ImprovementDrive continuous improvements in financial systems, reporting processes, and automation.Lead finance transformation initiatives and ERP enhancements where applicable.Promote best practices and operational efficiency across the finance organization.QualificationsFluent in English, Native speaker is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related discipline.CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.5+ years extensive hands-on experience in group financial consolidation, from Big Four accounting firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) or the equivalentMinimum 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant multinational experience.Prior experience as a Financial Controller, Regional Controller, or similar leadership role.
