The organization is committed to creating an open, connected, and borderless future for finance.Role Description The Financial Institutions Manager (Africa Region) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions across African markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying partnership opportunities, negotiating and maintaining correspondent banking and payment arrangements, and overseeing onboarding and due diligence for institutional partners. The manager will monitor performance of regional partnerships, analyze market trends in the African financial ecosystem, and collaborate closely with product, compliance, and risk teams to ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements and Monfi’s growth objectives. The role also involves preparing regular reports on portfolio performance, managing escalation of operational issues with partners, and representing Monfi at industry events and meetings within the region.Qualifications Strong experience in relationship management and business development with banks, fintechs, or payment institutions in African markets.Deep understanding of cross-border payments, correspondent banking, and multi-currency financial products.Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, AML/CFT requirements, and compliance standards relevant to African financial institutions.Proven skills in negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement across diverse cultures and jurisdictions.Ability to analyze market data, assess risk, and produce clear performance and strategy reports for senior leadership.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional African or international languages are an advantage.Experience working in digital banking, fintech, or international financial services is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACAMS) are a plus.Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
