This role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, month-end reporting, balance sheet management and finance transformation projects within a fast-paced and evolving environment.The OpportunityReporting into the Financial Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate month-end reporting, maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the integration of an overseas finance function into the UK operation.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant who enjoys ownership, process improvement and working closely with stakeholders across the wider finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support month-end close activitiesPrepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustmentsComplete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesManage and reconcile intercompany transactionsSupport management reporting and monthly analysisWork closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teamsAssist with audit and statutory reporting requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficienciesSupport finance integration and change initiatives across the businessAbout YouACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifiedStrong month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experienceSolid understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and double-entry accountingExperience managing intercompany accountingAdvanced Excel skills and confidence handling large data setsDetail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilitiesComfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environmentExperience using Sage 200 (or a similar Sage finance system) would be highly advantageousInterest in leveraging AI and technology to improve finance processes and reporting
