Location: Hybrid in Woburn, MAOur client is a dynamic, boutique wealth management firm that helps clients navigate their financial lives through comprehensive planning, thoughtful advice, and long-term relationships.

The firm provides holistic wealth management, investment advisory services, retirement planning, education funding strategies, and risk management.They are adding a Financial Planning Analyst to join their growing planning team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical and analytical side of financial planning and wants to deepen their expertise in a collaborative wealth management environment. Working closely with the Director of Planning and the firm's advisors, the Financial Planning Analyst will build, update, and refine comprehensive financial plans, model complex planning scenarios, and translate financial information into clear and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Build comprehensive financial plans for prospective clientsUpdate and refine financial plans for existing client reviewsGather, organize, and analyze client financial informationModel a variety of financial planning scenarios, including:Retirement income and distribution strategiesEquity compensationPensions and employer retirement plansIn-service rolloversTax planning strategiesCharitable givingEstate planning considerationsDevelop planning recommendations based on each client's goals, financial circumstances, risk tolerance, and prioritiesReview assumptions, projections, calculations, and client data to ensure plans are technically accurateMaintain a strong understanding of employer benefits and compensation structures within the firm's target marketsReview corporate benefits packages and incorporate relevant benefits into client financial plansPrepare clear, organized planning outputs, visuals, and summaries that advisors can confidently present to clientsTranslate complex financial strategies into understandable recommendations and actionable next stepsPrepare cases in advance of client meetings and ensure advisors have the necessary planning materialsManage multiple planning cases and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detailTrack planning requests and proactively communicate the status of outstanding casesCollaborate with Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Operations, and other members of the planning team to ensure seamless client executionContinue developing expertise in corporate benefits, executive compensation, pensions, 401(k) plans, tax strategies, and other advanced financial planning topicsStay current on financial planning strategies, industry changes, and relevant employer benefit programs

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory environmentLife & Health Insurance license requiredSeries 7 license requiredStrong understanding of financial planning concepts and strategiesExperience building, updating, or analyzing comprehensive financial plansStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with complex financial data and translate it into clear recommendationsHighly proactive and organized with exceptional attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong sense of ownership and follow-throughCollaborative approach and ability to work closely with advisors, portfolio managers, operations, and other members of the planning teamGenuine interest in continuing to develop technical financial planning expertiseWhat Success Looks Like:The Financial Planning Analyst will play an important role in ensuring advisors are fully prepared to deliver thoughtful and comprehensive advice to clients. Success in this position means producing accurate, high-quality financial plans on time, anticipating planning needs, and providing advisors with clear analysis they can confidently use in client conversations.As the Analyst develops, they will become a go-to technical planning resource with deeper expertise in areas such as executive compensation, employer benefits, retirement planning, and tax strategies.Compensation:Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000, commensurate with experienceBonus: Approximately 10% based on individual and firm performance
