Financial Policy Analyst Hybrid in DC Role Description:Our federal consulting client provides financial management and operations support for CBP. This includes assisting with financial policy updates, coordinating policy working group meetings, and conducting reviews of conference package submissions to verify they comply with applicable standards.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze new or updated federal laws, regulations, OMB guidance, DHS directives, and CBP policies to identify impacts and recommend policy updates.Support updates to financial management policy documents and guidance.Translate financial and operational concepts into clear, concise, and compliant policy language.Coordinate and facilitate policy review meetings with internal work groups, subject-matter experts, and senior leadership. This includes scheduling, preparing materials, documenting outcomes, and tracking action items.Collaborate across functional stakeholders to resolve comments, adjudicate feedback, facilitate consensus, maintain version control, and track approvals throughout the policy development lifecycle.Develop briefing materials, executive summaries, decision memoranda, and presentations to support leadership review and decision-making.Review conference package submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable federal, departmental, and component policies.Assess completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of submitted materials and coordinate necessary corrections or clarifications.

Qualifications

Required:Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust prior to onboarding. Candidates with an ICE Public Trust or TS Clearence will also be considered. All clearances or public trusts must be currently active.3+ years of relevant experience.Bachelor’s degree.Strong technical writing skills, with experience developing policy documentation.Federal financial management, operations, compliance, or policy experience.Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and clarity in oral and written communications.Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate reviews, and work with diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership.Preferred:Active CBP BI or reciprocity strongly preferred.
