Fire Suppression Technician

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance (preventive and corrective) for fire suppression systems including:Sprinkler systems (wet/dry/pre-action/deluge as applicable)Clean agent fire suppression systems (where installed)Foam systemsCO₂ systemsWater mist / water mist extinguishing systemsSupport construction and installation activities:Install piping, valves, hangers/supports, nozzles, detection/actuation interfaces (as applicable)Assist with system integration and ensure work matches drawings/specificationsExecute system inspections and testing, including functional checks and verification activities aligned with site requirements (e.g., alarms/interfaces, integrity checks, commissioning support).Troubleshoot and resolve faults in mechanical/electrical components such as valves, pumps, cylinders/components (where applicable), controllers/interfaces, pressure switches/sensors, and discharge elements (as applicable).Read and interpret shop drawings, isometrics, wiring diagrams, and system configuration documents.Ensure accurate documentation and reporting, including:Maintenance reports, test results, defect logs, and completion recordsUpdating records to reflect actual installation / as-built information (when required)Ensure full compliance with:Local Saudi safety requirements and codesSite HSE policies, permit-to-work (PTW), and all applicable safety proceduresCoordinate with site teams (e.g., mechanical/electrical, project engineers, subcontractors) to ensure smooth handover and operational readiness.Provide technical guidance/mentorship to junior technicians where needed.Required QualificationsDiploma / Technical qualification in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or related fields.Minimum experience (as per your hiring target) in fire suppression systems maintenance and/or installation work.Hands-on experience working with all major suppression system types listed above and their configurations.Strong knowledge of fire suppression components, piping works, system interfaces, and testing/inspection fundamentals.Proven ability to work on-site independently and manage technical tasks responsibly.Skills & CompetenciesAdvanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.Strong understanding of technical drawings and system configuration requirements.High attention to detail and excellent compliance mindset.Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams.Ability to work in active construction/site environments.
