Fit-out Site Surveyor

Role Description:To carry out accurate site measurements and surveys for interior fit-out projects, ensuring all dimensions and conditions are correctly captured and translated into shop drawings, BIM models, and construction deliverables for precise execution.Responsibilities:Site Survey & Measurements• Conduct detailed site surveys for fit-out works including:o As-built measurements of walls, ceilings, floors, and openingso Verification of structural and MEP conditionso Levels, coordinates, and setting-out references• Ensure all measurements are accurate and aligned with design requirements.Data Collection & Reporting• Prepare detailed survey reports, sketches, and marked-up drawings.• Record site conditions, deviations, and constraints.• Submit survey data to design and BIM teams for model updates.Coordination with Design & BIM• Coordinate with BIM modelers and draftsmen to ensure accurate translation of site data into drawings/models.• Support updating of shop drawings and GFC drawings based on site conditions.• Highlight discrepancies between design and actual site conditions.Setting-Out & Site Support• Assist in setting out reference points for partitions, joinery, and installation works.• Support site engineers in alignment and leveling activities.• Ensure accuracy during installation stages to avoid rework.Verification & Quality Control• Verify dimensions before installation of critical elements (joinery, ceilings, cladding).• Ensure compliance with approved drawings and design intent.• Identify potential clashes or issues early and report them.Documentation & Coordination• Maintain survey logs, field notes, and measurement records.• Coordinate with site engineers, project coordinators, and consultants when required.• Support preparation of as-built drawings and final handover documentation.
