Fit Out Technical Manager - Dubai, UAE

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical delivery of complex interior fit-out projects. This role is responsible for providing strategic technical leadership, ensuring engineering excellence, maintaining design and contractual compliance, and driving collaboration across design, procurement, construction, and client teams.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline.Minimum 13 years' experience in the interior fit-out contracting industry with recent experience being from the UAE.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, fit-out detailing, materials, and engineering coordination.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and BIM workflows.Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.Strong organisational, planning, and time management abilities with experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high technical and quality standards.Experience monitoring engineering performance through KPIs and driving continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.Support pre-contract activities by evaluating value engineering opportunities and reviewing design solutions for compliance with project requirements, standards, design intent, and budget.Manage, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Technical Coordinators, Material Coordinators, BIM, and CAD personnel.Oversee technical reviews, engineering quality, contractual compliance, and timely delivery of all technical submissions.Manage the preparation, review, and submission of shop drawings, BIM models, material submittals, calculations, coordination drawings, mock-ups, schedules, and as-built documentation.Resolve technical challenges through effective cross-functional coordination while maintaining accurate technical records and formal project correspondence.Monitor technical changes, ensuring alignment with approved design intent and maintaining appropriate impact documentation.Drive the adoption of efficient engineering processes, digital tools, and industry best practices to improve quality and productivity.Build strong client relationships through responsive technical support and consistently high-quality engineering delivery.Foster a collaborative team culture focused on accountability, professional development, and continuous improvement.Track engineering KPIs, including submission performance, approval rates, technical accuracy, query resolution, team efficiency, and support for project budget objectives.Redfish solutions promotes a culture where diversity is welcomed and celebrated.
