Oversee maintenance and service scheduling, vendor and dealership relationships, contract negotiations and related fleet and equipment management responsibilities.What You Will DoOversee and manage the entire fleet operations of the organization in each PRIME region (PNW, CA, Portland). Maintain a visible leadership presence through regular travel (up to 30%) to jobsites and regional offices to support field leadershipDirect the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assuranceDevelop and implement fleet management strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operationsCollaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and maintain the operational efficiency of the fleetManage and supervise fleet maintenance and repair activities to ensure vehicles are available and in good working conditionMonitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to fleet operationsHas thorough knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirementsConduct analysis of fleet performance and generate reports for senior managementDevelop and manage the fleet operations budgetMaintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for fleet purchases and servicesDevelop and implement safety policies and procedures for drivers and other staff membersOversee driver training and development programs to improve skills and ensure safetyManage the disposition of fleet assets, including end-of-life vehiclesManage the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipmentDocument and track equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Minimize organizational cost through product standardization and trackingAdhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practicesWhat You Will Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field, and ten plus years’ experience, including three plus years managerial experience, in construction, electrical contracting or similar industries; or equivalent combination of education and field experienceMust have a valid state driver’s license and be insurable with a good driving recordProven work experience in fleet and equipment management or similar roleKnowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance proceduresUnderstanding of transportation and safety regulationsProficient in fleet management software and GPS systemsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational and planning skillsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsSupervisory Responsibilities:Direct supervision of department staff required.Special Requirements/Physical Demands/Working Conditions:Work is primarily performed in a warehouse setting with occasional exposure to health or safety hazards such as, but not limited to, electrical hazards, heavy equipment and machinery and inclement weather conditions. Operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions. Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying of 50+ lbs. (including heavier loads with assistance). Travel required to work sites. Frequent use of personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, hard hats and steel-toed boots).Frequent travel is required across multiple states and regions (up to 30%).Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and regulatory documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publications that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.Reasoning Ability and/or Critical Thinking:Work situations are broadly defined, complex and diverse, occasionally unprecedented.
