Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Job SummaryThe Fleet Control Manager is responsible for managing BTC vehicle fleet control operation; ensuring BTC fleet is efficientlyutilized, well-maintained, and aligned with customer demand and business objectives; managing a team of fleet controlteam coordinating with relevant departments to ensure seamless operations.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities1) Fleet Control Governance & Planning Working closely with the CEO, develop and implement BTC fleet control operational strategies and plans. Plan and implement fleet control framework that includes policies, procedures, processes, protocols and systems. Ensure strict compliance of BTC fleet control policies and protocols.2) Fleet Control Operation Manage day-to-day fleet control operation working closely with all internal and external stakeholders. Manage acquisition, deployment, and disposal of vehicles in the fleet. Manage the sales process of vehicles. Monitor the non-rented vehicles. Ensure the transfer of ownership of sold vehicles. Ensure proper authorization of all rented vehicles in the traffic system (TAM). Develop and manage the fleet control departmental budget. Ensure all financial targets are successfully achieved by providing direction and support to the fleet control team. Collaborate with the customer service department to address customer inquiries and complaints related to fleet availability and condition. Ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues to maintain customer satisfaction. Follow up with relevant departments regarding vehicle authorizations. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and present regular reports on fleet performance, utilization, and costs to the CEO. Mentor, train and develop fleet control staff and enhance team members& competencies. Conduct performance evaluations and set goals for team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.3) Fleet Maintenance & Optimization Ensure optimal utilization of the fleet to meet customer demand and minimize idle time. Monitor and manage maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement. Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures. Follow up on the renewal of vehicle registrations and periodic inspections for vehicles, trucks, and buses. Follow up on the status and repair of broken-down vehicles in maintenance workshops.4) Customer Service & Satisfaction Ensure timely and effective responses to inquiries, requests, and concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction levels. Monitor customer feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality. Maintain high levels of customer service and positive relationships with customers. Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes.5) Regulatory Compliance & System Management Ensure strict compliance to car rental industry regulations and company standards. Follow up on the renewal and issuance of all licenses related to the Ministry of Transportation. Oversee the transport authority operating cards. Ensure data transfer between the company& old system and the new system. Modify the system to suit the company& operations. Manage the entry of traffic and Transport Authority violations into the company& internal system.Work Interactions &Communication RadiusLevel of Interaction☐ Standard: Typical interaction is to request and provide information. MBA is a plus. Professional Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Manager; Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) are preferred.Experience Minimum 8 years’ experience in fleet management, preferably in the car rental industry or a similar environment. Proven experience in managing a large-scale vehicle fleet and optimizing operations. Experience in leading and managing fleet control team.Essential Job Requisites Competent knowledge in English and Arabic, Spoken and Written. Expertise in MS Office Suite Strong understanding of fleet management principles and best practices. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to fleet management. Proficiency in using fleet management software and tracking systems. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders. Expertise in transportation and logistics Leadership & management skills with an emphasis on emotional intelligence. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. High level inter-personal, inter-personal, analytical, and team building skills.
