Agramont Transport Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead daily maintenance operations for company trucks and trailers. This role manages maintenance personnel, establishes work priorities, coordinates road service and external repairs, and follows maintenance issues through completion to minimize equipment downtime.The Fleet Maintenance Manager works alongside the Safety Manager, who handles fleet administrative and compliance responsibilities, and partners with Dispatch to communicate equipment status and maintenance needs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead maintenance personnel, establish daily work priorities, assign tasks, and monitor repair progress, work quality, and employee performance.Plan and coordinate daily shop maintenance and repair activities.Receive mechanical issue reports from drivers through WhatsApp and phone calls, gathering equipment details, location, and service needs.Assess reported mechanical concerns and determine appropriate service arrangements and repair priorities.Locate and coordinate road service providers and repair facilities.Coordinate external mechanics for trucks and trailers operating outside the local area.Follow repairs through completion, address delays, and confirm that reported mechanical concerns have been resolved.Keep drivers, Dispatch, and the Safety Manager informed of repair progress, service delays, and estimated completion times.Maintain accurate records of reported mechanical issues, service arrangements, and completed repairs.Conduct maintenance onboarding for new drivers, covering mechanical issue reporting, breakdown procedures, equipment care, and how to request assistance.Provide after-hours maintenance support.Identify opportunities to improve repair coordination, maintenance workflows, and equipment downtime.QualificationsExperience managing commercial truck and trailer maintenance, road service, or fleet maintenance operations.Experience supervising maintenance personnel, assigning work, and monitoring work quality and employee performance.Strong working knowledge of common truck and trailer mechanical issues and repair procedures.Experience coordinating with mechanics, repair facilities, and road service providers.Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.Ability to establish maintenance priorities, manage multiple service requests, and respond effectively to urgent breakdowns.Comfortable using WhatsApp, phone communication, and electronic maintenance tracking tools.Availability for assigned after-hours coverage.Bilingual English and Spanish required.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) retirement plan with a company match.Paid vacation.Paid sick leave.Paid holidays.Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and applicable company policies.Compensation$72,800-$83,200 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
