Fleet Manager | Bulk Carrier | Dubai

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and manage vessel operations for a shipping company based in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in managing bulk carriers, with tanker management experience also considered. Candidates must already be based in Dubai and hold a passport that allows them to work in Dubai without requiring a work visa or employer-sponsored visa.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations and management of assigned vessels, including bulk carriers and tankers.Ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the fleet in compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standards.Monitor vessel performance, operational efficiency, and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal fleet performance.Coordinate with vessel masters, chief engineers, technical teams, port agents, charterers, and other relevant stakeholders.Ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations, safety standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.Monitor vessel operating costs, budgets, and expenditure, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.Oversee planned maintenance, inspections, surveys, and vessel certification requirements in coordination with the technical team.Address operational issues, delays, and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to vessel operations.Maintain effective communication with commercial, technical, and operations teams to support smooth fleet management.Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management on vessel performance, compliance, and operational matters.Key RequirementsRelevant experience in fleet management within the shipping or maritime industry.Experience managing bulk carriers is preferred; candidates with tanker management experience will also be considered.Strong understanding of vessel operations, maritime regulations, safety standards, and fleet performance management.Knowledge of vessel maintenance, operational budgeting, compliance, and performance monitoring.Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple vessels and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.Must already be based in Dubai, UAE.Must hold a passport or applicable work eligibility status that permits employment in Dubai without requiring a work visa or employer-sponsored visa.
