This role is responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations, including dispatch coordination, equipment assignment, and monitoring driver routes and schedules to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service. The Fleet Manager will manage maintenance scheduling, track vehicle performance and utilization, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing operational data, resolving service and equipment issues, supporting drivers with clear communication, and collaborating with operations and safety teams to improve processes. The role also involves contributing to strategic planning for fleet growth, cost control, and service quality while fostering a respectful, relationship-driven work environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Fleet Management and Fleet Operations skills to oversee vehicles, drivers, and daily logistics.Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to optimize processes, manage resources, and support company performance goals.Candidates should possess a solid understanding of DOT Regulations to ensure safety, legal compliance, and risk mitigation.Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed operational decisions.Prior experience in trucking or transportation management, including supervising drivers or dispatch operations, is highly beneficial.Effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills are essential.Proficiency with fleet management or transportation management software is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
