This role oversees day-to-day fleet operations for a large inventory of construction and support vehicles and equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with DOT regulations. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling preventive maintenance, coordinating repairs, tracking asset utilization, and maintaining accurate records of inspections, registrations, and service history. The Fleet Manager collaborates with operations leadership to align equipment availability with project timelines, manages vendor relationships, and monitors costs to optimize fleet performance and budget adherence. The role also involves overseeing daily workflow and schedules of shop employees and reviewing and approving of invoices for shop repairs.Salary: $100,000 - $125,000QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Fleet Management and Fleet Operations skills to oversee a diverse equipment and vehicle portfolio.Candidates should possess solid Operations Management experience to coordinate maintenance, scheduling, and resource allocation across projects.Candidates should possess thorough knowledge of DOT Regulations to ensure compliance, safe operation, and accurate documentation.Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret fleet data, monitor costs, and make informed decisions that improve performance.Relevant experience in construction, civil engineering, or heavy equipment environments is beneficial.Proficiency with fleet management software, maintenance tracking systems, and basic spreadsheet tools is preferred.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.Valid driver’s license; supervisory experience and technical knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance is preferred.BenefitsMedical, dental and vision insurance401(k) planPaid time offCompany vehicle with fuel cardPaid vacation and HolidaysCompany cell phone and laptop
