قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجRole DescriptionA Flight Engineer is responsible for monitoring, operating, and supporting the technical performance of an aircraft's propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, environmental, and other onboard engineering systems. The role supports safe, reliable, and efficient aircraft operations by continuously monitoring system performance, identifying technical abnormalities, and coordinating with the flight crew and maintenance teams.Key responsibilities include monitoring engines, generators, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fuel systems, pressurization, environmental control systems, anti-ice systems, auxiliary power systems, and other aircraft engineering systems; monitoring engine temperatures, pressures, fuel consumption, electrical loads, hydraulic quantities, system indications, and other technical parameters; operating and adjusting aircraft systems in accordance with approved procedures and technical limitations; identifying abnormal indications, equipment malfunctions, system failures, and developing technical conditions during flight; communicating system status and technical information to pilots and other flight crew members; supporting the flight crew during normal, abnormal, and emergency operating conditions; performing applicable pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight technical checks; reviewing aircraft technical logs, maintenance records, deferred defects, and system status; coordinating with aircraft maintenance engineers, maintenance control centers, dispatch teams, and technical support personnel; supporting troubleshooting and technical decision-making related to aircraft systems; assisting with aircraft performance monitoring, fuel management, power management, and system optimization; ensuring aircraft systems remain within approved operating parameters; documenting technical events, abnormalities, system failures, and maintenance requirements; supporting aircraft recovery and Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) technical coordination when required; participating in simulator training, technical briefings, emergency exercises, recurrent training, and competency assessments; using electronic flight documentation, aircraft health-monitoring systems, computerized maintenance platforms, digital diagnostic tools, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and real-time aircraft data where applicable; supporting safety investigations, reliability programs, technical reviews, and operational improvement initiatives; monitoring developments in advanced avionics, aircraft automation, hybrid-electric propulsion, sustainable aviation technologies, and next-generation aircraft systems; and continuously improving technical knowledge, operational safety, system reliability, and engineering performance.QualificationsBachelor's degree, diploma, or recognized technical qualification in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.Valid Flight Engineer license, certification, or authorization issued or recognized by the applicable aviation authority where required.Strong knowledge of aircraft propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, environmental, pressurization, and auxiliary systems.Strong understanding of aircraft instrumentation, system indications, engine parameters, operating limitations, and technical procedures.Excellent technical troubleshooting, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret aircraft technical manuals, flight manuals, system diagrams, checklists, maintenance documentation, and engineering publications.Strong understanding of aviation regulations, operational procedures, aircraft limitations, safety requirements, and human factors.Ability to monitor multiple aircraft systems simultaneously and recognize abnormal or unsafe conditions.Excellent communication and crew-resource-management skills.Ability to coordinate effectively with pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, dispatchers, maintenance control centers, and technical support teams.Familiarity with electronic flight bags, aircraft health-monitoring systems, computerized maintenance systems, digital technical documentation, and diagnostic technologies.Knowledge of artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, aircraft data analytics, automation, digital twins, and advanced aircraft monitoring systems is advantageous.Understanding of modern propulsion technologies, advanced avionics, hybrid-electric aircraft, sustainable aviation technologies, and next-generation aircraft systems is beneficial.Strong knowledge of emergency procedures, abnormal operations, technical failure management, and aircraft system recovery procedures.Ability to remain calm and make appropriate technical decisions in time-critical operational situations.High level of discipline, technical accuracy, situational awareness, reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.Relevant aviation, engineering, safety, or aircraft systems certifications are advantageous.Strong commitment to continuous training and staying informed about aircraft technology, aviation regulations, advanced propulsion, avionics, automation, predictive maintenance, and modern flight engineering practices.
