About the JobRole DescriptionA Floristry Associate supports the daily operations of a flower shop, floral studio, event florist, or related floral business. The role involves assisting with flower preparation, bouquet and arrangement production, product presentation, customer service, order coordination, inventory management, and delivery preparation.The position is suitable for candidates with experience or interest in floristry, floral design, retail, event services, hospitality, or creative industries. Previous experience handling fresh flowers or working in a floral environment is an advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist florists with preparing bouquets, floral arrangements, centerpieces, and other floral products.Prepare fresh flowers and greenery by cutting, trimming, cleaning, conditioning, and organizing stems.Assist with arranging flowers according to approved designs, color schemes, themes, and customer requirements.Prepare floral products for birthdays, weddings, corporate events, celebrations, holidays, and other occasions.Assist with preparing custom floral orders according to customer specifications.Maintain clean, organized, and attractive floral workstations.Handle flowers, plants, containers, ribbons, wrapping materials, and decorative accessories carefully.Assist with selecting appropriate flowers and greenery for specific arrangements.Maintain knowledge of seasonal flowers, flower varieties, colors, textures, and basic care requirements.Assist customers with selecting flowers and floral products based on occasion, budget, style, and preferences.Provide customers with basic information regarding flower care, freshness, handling, and display.Receive customer orders through in-store, telephone, online, or other approved channels.Accurately record customer requirements, delivery details, messages, product specifications, and requested arrangements.Assist with preparing quotations, invoices, order confirmations, and other customer documentation.Coordinate with florists regarding special design requirements and customer requests.Prepare completed floral orders for pickup or delivery.Ensure arrangements are properly packaged and protected during transportation.Coordinate with delivery personnel regarding order details, delivery addresses, timing, and special instructions.Assist with preparing flowers and decorative materials for events and venue installations.Support floral setup and dismantling activities at weddings, hotels, restaurants, corporate venues, exhibitions, and other locations when required.Assist with installing centerpieces, floral displays, arches, backdrops, and other approved floral decorations.Help maintain floral displays and replace flowers or greenery when necessary.Monitor flower freshness and remove damaged, wilted, or unsuitable materials.Assist with receiving fresh flower deliveries and checking quantities and quality.Store flowers and greenery under appropriate temperature and handling conditions.Maintain accurate inventory records for flowers, plants, containers, ribbons, wrapping materials, tools, and accessories.Report damaged, spoiled, missing, or low-stock items to the supervisor.Assist with stock rotation to minimize product waste.Clean and maintain floral tools, buckets, work surfaces, storage areas, and equipment.Support seasonal and promotional displays, including holiday and special-event collections.Assist with photographing floral products for catalogs, websites, social media, and promotional materials when required.Maintain accurate records of customer preferences, orders, and product information.Communicate professionally with customers, florists, event planners, suppliers, delivery personnel, and colleagues.Maintain a professional and friendly customer-service approach.Follow workplace safety, hygiene, flower-handling, and equipment procedures.Perform other floristry, retail, customer-service, and operational support duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.Certificate or diploma in Floristry, Floral Design, Horticulture, Interior Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is an advantage.Previous experience in floristry, flower shops, floral design, retail, events, hospitality, or creative environments is preferred.Genuine interest in flowers, floral design, plants, and creative work.Basic knowledge of flowers, greenery, seasonal availability, and floral care is an advantage.Good understanding of color combinations, composition, balance, and presentation.Strong attention to detail.Good hand-eye coordination and practical skills.Ability to handle fresh flowers and floral materials carefully.Good customer service and communication skills.Ability to understand and follow floral design instructions accurately.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines during busy periods.Creative and visually aware approach to work.Ability to work effectively as part of a florist and retail team.Good physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle buckets, flowers, supplies, and equipment.Ability to work in refrigerated flower-storage areas and varying temperatures when required.Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and seasonal peak periods.Ability to travel to event venues and customer locations when required.Good computer skills and familiarity with POS, order-management, or inventory systems is an advantage.Experience with online ordering platforms or social media product presentation is beneficial.Professional and customer-focused attitude.Fluency in English is preferred; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.Knowledge of the UAE floral, events, hospitality, and
