Position: Flutter Developer / Senior Flutter Developer Organization: Teerthanker Mahaveer University Location: On-Site (Work from Office) Experience Level: 3+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Commensurate with experience (Salary no bar for the right candidate)About the RoleTeerthanker Mahaveer University is seeking an experienced Flutter Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality cross-platform mobile applications supporting students, faculty, employees, and university administration.The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Flutter, Dart, state management, REST API integration, Firebase, push notifications, mobile application architecture, and App Store/Google Play deployment.The candidate should also have a good understanding of backend technologies and be comfortable working with backend developers to design and integrate APIs and end-to-end mobile workflows.Key Responsibilities1. Flutter Application DevelopmentDesign and develop scalable, responsive, and high-performance mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.Develop applications for both Android and iOS platforms.Build reusable widgets and maintain clean, modular, and maintainable code.Implement responsive layouts for different screen sizes and device configurations.Develop complex forms, dashboards, workflows, notifications, authentication, and data-driven screens.Debug, test, and resolve application issues across Android and iOS devices.Follow clean coding practices and appropriate Flutter architecture patterns.2. State Management & Application ArchitectureStrong understanding and practical experience with Flutter state management.Work with state management solutions such as GetX, Provider, Riverpod, Bloc/Cubit, or equivalent.Design scalable application architecture and maintain clear separation between UI, business logic, and data layers.Manage application state, API states, loading states, error states, caching, and local data.Implement reusable services, controllers, repositories, and application components.3. Backend & API IntegrationIntegrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.Work with JSON-based API communication and asynchronous programming.Understand backend architecture and API request/response structures.Collaborate with backend developers for API design, debugging, and integration.Knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js / Express.js will be an advantage.Understand authentication mechanisms such as JWT and token-based authentication.Implement secure API communication and appropriate error handling.4. Firebase & Mobile ServicesStrong practical experience with Firebase services.Implement Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and push notifications.Handle foreground, background, and terminated-state notifications.Implement Firebase Authentication where required.Work with Cloud Firestore / Firebase services where applicable.Implement analytics, crash reporting, and application monitoring where required.Configure Android and iOS applications for Firebase integration.5. Native Platform & Device IntegrationGood understanding of Android and iOS application configurations.Experience working with Android Studio and Xcode.Knowledge of Android/iOS permissions, app configurations, certificates, signing, and build processes.Experience integrating device capabilities such as camera, QR/barcode scanning, file handling, location, notifications, and biometric/device features.Understanding of platform-specific configuration and troubleshooting.6. App Deployment & Release ManagementExperience building and deploying Flutter applications to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.Manage Android APK/AAB builds and iOS release builds.Understand app signing, provisioning profiles, certificates, bundle identifiers, and build configurations.Handle application versioning and release management.Troubleshoot Play Store/App Store submission and compliance issues.Manage development, staging, and production environments.Participate in release testing and production deployment.7. Testing, Performance & QualityWrite and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests where required.Identify and resolve memory, performance, UI, and API-related issues.Optimize application startup time, rendering performance, network usage, and resource consumption.Conduct device-level testing across multiple Android and iOS versions.Monitor and resolve production crashes and application issues.8. Collaboration & DocumentationCollaborate with backend, frontend, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and product teams.Convert Figma/UI designs into responsive Flutter interfaces.Participate in technical discussions, requirement analysis, code reviews, and sprint planning.Maintain technical documentation for application architecture, APIs, releases, and configurations.Communicate technical issues and project status effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required Qualifications & CompetenciesCore Technical Skills3+ years of professional experience in Flutter/mobile application development.Strong hands-on knowledge of Flutter and Dart.Experience developing and maintaining production Android and iOS applications.Strong understanding of Flutter widgets, layouts, navigation, lifecycle, and asynchronous programming.Strong practical knowledge of state management.Experience with GetX / Bloc.Strong experience integrating REST APIs.Good understanding of JSON, HTTP, authentication, and API error handling.Experience with Firebase.Strong knowledge of Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and push notifications.Experience with Git and Git-based development workflows.Experience with Android Studio and Xcode.Experience deploying applications to Google Play Store and Apple App Store.Backend KnowledgeGood understanding of backend architecture and API development.Ability to understand and troubleshoot API/backend issues.Working knowledge of Node.js / Express.js or another backend technology is preferred.Understanding of databases, authentication, API security, and server-side business logic.Ability to coordinate effectively with backend developers for end-to-end feature development.Soft Skills & ProcessStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.Good understanding of mobile application development lifecycle.Strong attention to UI/UX and application performance.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional development team.Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into production-ready mobile applications.Preferred / "Good-to-Have" QualificationsExperience in enterprise, university, education, ERP, or large-scale mobile applications will be an advantage:Experience developing student, employee, faculty, HR, examination, attendance, hostel, mess, maintenance, or ERP applications.Experience with Node.js / TypeScript / Express.js.Experience with Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config.Experience with QR/barcode scanning and camera integrations.Experience with biometric/device integrations.Experience with deep linking and universal/app links.Experience with payment gateway integration.Experience with WebSockets or real-time applications.Experience with CI/CD and automated Flutter deployment.Knowledge of Docker, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.Experience managing multiple environments such as Development, QA, Staging, and Production.Experience optimizing applications for large user bases and high API traffic.
