One app brings together rideshare, courier and parcel delivery, on-demand food and grocery ordering, and scheduled travel bookings, for riders, drivers, couriers, businesses and fleets. Think of the category of super apps that combine ride-hailing, food delivery, e-commerce and travel booking in a single product. That is what we are building, from Australia, for Australia.The Driver & User Apps are already live on the App Store and Google Play. You take ownership of a shipped product with real drivers on it, and help build the next services on top of it.Who we are looking forA Flutter developer with 5 to 6 years of experience who has built and shipped apps in the on-demand space: food delivery, quick commerce, ride-hailing, logistics or travel and hotel booking. If you have worked on a product where a customer orders, a partner is dispatched, a courier or driver is tracked live on a map, and a payment settles at the end, you will feel at home here.JoiningImmediate joiners only. The app is live with drivers depending on it and we cannot hold the role open for a 30 or 60 day notice period. This is a location-specific role.- Currently fully work from home. Once the Quicoo office opens in Indore, the role moves to a hybrid model: some days in the office, some days from home.- Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM IST, Monday to Friday.Work-from-home requirements (mandatory)This is a work-from-home role until the Indore office opens. Because the app is live and drivers depend on it, the following are conditions of the role, not suggestions, and they are written into the offer letter:- A quiet, interruption-free workspace at home, preferably a dedicated room. Calls and stand-ups happen daily.- Your own laptop in good working order, capable of running Flutter builds and emulators without lag. Quicoo does not provide hardware for this role.- Your own Mac and iPhone for iOS builds and testing.- Reliable power with battery or UPS backup. A power cut is not an accepted reason for missed work or a missed deadline.- High-speed broadband plus a backup connection (mobile hotspot or second line). Internet outage is not an accepted reason for missed work.- Immediate reporting of any device failure or suspected data breach.If you cannot meet these, please do not apply.What you will build- Driver navigation: Google Maps SDK, turn-by-turn, live routing and ETA, re-routing, geofencing, background and foreground location that does not drain battery or drop out- Rider and courier map experience: live driver tracking, places search, route and fare preview, real-time trip and order status- On-demand ordering and scheduled booking flows: catalogue, cart, order tracking, slot-based bookings, multi-vendor pickups and drop-offs- Real-time state management for trip state, order state, location streams and socket updates (BLoC, Provider or Riverpod)- In-app integrations: chat, voice and video calling (Agora or Twilio), payment gateway flows (Stripe)- Shared, consistent patterns across rider, courier and driver apps- Unit and widget tests on critical paths: location, trip state, fares, payments- Technical documentation kept current for every component you ownMust have- 5 to 6 years mobile development, strong Flutter and Dart, apps shipped to both stores- Background in on-demand apps: food delivery, quick commerce, ride-hailing, logistics or travel booking- Able to start within 15 days- Hands-on Google Maps: maps SDK, directions, geolocation, geofencing, background location on both platforms. This is the single most important skill for this role- Working knowledge of iOS background execution and location APIs (CLLocationManager, background modes)- Firebase: Auth, FCM, Firestore or Realtime DB- At least one of these integrated in a live app: in-app chat, VoIP/video SDK, payment gateway SDK- REST, websockets, push notifications, offline states- Meets all work-from-home requirements above (quiet space, working laptop, Mac and iPhone, power backup, internet backup)- Native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) for platform-specific map and location work: strong plusHow we workEvery change goes through a reviewed pull request.
