The Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring folder gluer machines to produce high-quality printed and packaging materials according to job specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing materials, adjusting machine settings, performing routine checks, and ensuring efficient production while minimizing waste and downtime. The role involves inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality, completing basic machine maintenance, and following safety and housekeeping standards. The operator collaborates with the production team, reports any issues with equipment or materials, and helps meet production schedules and quality targets.QualificationsDemonstrated experience operating folder gluer machines or similar packaging equipment in a print or packaging environment.Strong understanding of printing and packaging processes, including carton folding, gluing, and finishing standards.Ability to read and interpret job tickets, technical drawings, and production specifications.Basic mechanical aptitude for machine setup, minor adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance.Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset, with the ability to conduct visual and manual inspections of finished products.Good organizational and time-management skills to meet production deadlines and manage multiple jobs.Commitment to workplace safety, proper handling of materials, and maintaining a clean production area.Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a diverse production team.Previous experience in commercial printing or packaging, preferably within an ISO-certified environment, is an advantage.High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or vocational certification in printing or packaging operations is beneficial.
