With multiple food and beverage venues on site, including our two AA Rosette Restaurant, St Andrews Clubhouse & Grill - serving the finest Scottish steak and seafood, we are able to offer our guests a world class experience for dining and leisure activities, right here on property.Within 20 minutes from Leuchars Railway station and 35 minutes from Dundee, we are an easy commute from numerous Scottish destinations.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and highly organised Food & Beverage Operations Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team at Fairmont St Andrews.Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, this is a key operational role supporting the successful day-to-day delivery of our Food & Beverage operations across the resort.With a varied collection of restaurants, bars, event spaces and golf-related outlets, no two days are the same. The Food & Beverage Operations Manager will provide leadership, consistency and operational support across all areas, working alongside our Outlet Managers to ensure exceptional service standards and a seamless guest experience.This role will also act as a key point of leadership across the department during periods of annual leave or absence, stepping into individual outlets where required to provide continuity and operational oversight.What You Will Be DoingSupporting the day-to-day operation of all Food & Beverage outlets across the resortWorking closely with Outlet Managers to ensure consistent service standards, strong operational performance and an exceptional guest experienceProviding operational leadership and support during busy periods, large events and peak trading timesProviding management cover across Food & Beverage outlets during annual leave, absence or periods of operational needSupporting the Director of Food & Beverage with the overall performance and strategic direction of the departmentActing as a visible and hands-on leader within the operation, building strong relationships with colleagues and managers across the resortSupporting Outlet Managers with team performance, engagement, training and developmentMonitoring service delivery and identifying opportunities to continuously improve the guest journeySupporting the effective management of labour, productivity, stock, costs and departmental expensesWorking collaboratively with Culinary, Events, Golf, Rooms and other hotel departments to ensure a joined-up approach to the guest experienceDeputising for the Director of Food & Beverage when requiredQualificationsWho we are looking forWe are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage leader who is comfortable operating across multiple outlets and who enjoys being at the heart of a busy operation.You will ideally have:Strong previous Food & Beverage management experience within a high-volume hotel, resort or multi-outlet environmentExperience leading teams and supporting managers across multiple operational areasA hands-on and flexible approach, with the confidence to step into different outlets and quickly understand operational prioritiesStrong knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards and operational best practiceExcellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to remain calm, organised and solutions-focused within a fast-paced environmentStrong commercial awareness, with an understanding of labour management, productivity, revenue and cost controlA genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiencesThe ability to coach, motivate and develop othersFlexibility to work across a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, in line with the needs of the operationAdditional InformationWhat is in it for you:Hassle-Free Commute – Enjoy our complimentary staff shuttle service to and from St AndrewsFuel for Your Day – Free, delicious meals in our dedicated staff canteenSavour the Savings – 50% off dining in all of our Food & Beverage outletsRelax & Recharge – Special employee rates on spa treatments and green feesStay Active – Free access to our state-of-the-art gym and pool facilitiesWork Hard, Play Hard – Regular team socials and staff events to celebrate your successIf you are an experienced Food & Beverage leader who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced operation and is ready to take the next step into a broader resort-wide leadership position, we would love to hear from you!
