Apply & track with Apply Edge🔬 WE ARE HIRING | FORENSIC ANALYST – ANABOLIC STEROIDS SCREENING📍 Location: Dubai, UAE🏢 Organization: Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) – Camel Forensic Laboratory (CFL)💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleThe Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Forensic Analyst to join the Anabolic Steroids Screening Section at the Camel Forensic Laboratory (CFL).The successful candidate will support the laboratory’s analytical workflow and timely processing of samples, working closely with laboratory professionals to ensure efficient operations, accurate testing, and reliable analytical results.Key Responsibilities
- Perform sample preparation and extraction, including Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE).
- Carry out derivatisation and other sample preparation procedures.
- Perform analytical testing and instrument data acquisition using GC-MS and LC-MS techniques.
- Conduct routine GC-MS/MS screening for anabolic steroids.
- Perform dilute-and-shoot LC-MS assays for highly volatile analytes.
- Review, process, interpret, and analyze analytical data.
- Perform repeat testing and confirmatory analysis when required.
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to manage parallel analytical workflows.
- Ensure samples are processed within required laboratory turnaround times.
- Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements.Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forensic Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in analytical chemistry, forensic/toxicology testing, drug screening, or a related laboratory environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, and LC-MS techniques.
- Practical experience with Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE), sample preparation, derivatisation, chromatographic techniques, and mass spectrometry.
- Experience in anabolic steroid screening, controlled substances, doping control, or forensic drug analysis is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data interpretation skills.
- Good understanding of laboratory quality standards and documentation requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple analytical activities while maintaining accuracy and required turnaround times.
