Apply & track with Apply EdgeResponsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment (counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and power pallet jacks) to move, store, retrieve, and stage raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas. Ensures material integrity, strict adherence to storage locations, and full compliance with site safety and food handling standards.Key Responsibilities1. Equipment Operation & Material MovementSafely operate high-reach trucks to place and retrieve palleted materials from high-bay racking systems (up to vertical capacity).Drive counterbalance forklifts to unload incoming raw material shipments from trucks and load finished goods onto outbound distribution vehicles.Transport raw ingredients and packaging directly to production staging areas as requested by storekeepers.2. Inventory Stacking & Put awayScan and place pallets into designated rack locations as dictated by the Warehouse Management System (WMS).Follow First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) protocols by picking specific batch numbers and expiration dates.Verify pallet tag details, lot numbers, and physical conditions (e.g., shrink-wrap integrity, pallet stability) before handling.3. Safety & Equipment MaintenancePerform pre-operational safety inspections daily (brakes, hydraulics, battery levels, tires, horn) and log checks in the equipment register.Manage battery charging, fluid top-ups, or basic equipment maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines.Operate at safe speeds within facility lanes, observing pedestrian walkways, blind spots, and door clearances.4. Food Safety & Warehouse HygieneMaintain cleanliness in drive aisles, rack spaces, and dock areas to comply with GMP and HACCP standards.Immediately report any product spills, rack damages, or machinery failures to management.Operate safely across ambient, chilled, and cold storage environments without causing temperature fluctuation issues.Key Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent.License & Certification: Valid Heavy Equipment Operator License / certified Forklift & Reach Truck Driving Permit.Experience: 2–3 years of experience operating high-reach trucks and forklifts within a fast-paced warehouse or food manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of WMS, handheld barcode scanners, and rack height management.Physical & Environmental Capability: Ability to work comfortably in cold storage environments (chilled/frozen) and at high-elevation racking. High attention to spatial awareness and safety protocols.
