Forward Deployed AI Engineer | Abu Dhabi, UAE📍 Abu Dhabi, UAE🕐 Full-time | Onsite📅 Initial 12-month assignment, with potential extensionWe are looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed AI Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade agentic AI solutions within a complex operational environment.This is a full-time, onsite, individual-contributor role where you will work directly with business stakeholders and engineering teams, from understanding the problem and defining requirements through architecture, development, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. What You’ll DoTranslate complex business and operational challenges into practical AI solutions, and recognize when AI is not the right answer.Design and build enterprise-grade agentic AI applications, including multi-step reasoning, tool/API orchestration, context management, and human-in-the-loop workflows.Develop production RAG solutions, including data ingestion, vector search, retrieval optimization, grounding, and source traceability.Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems using MCP, REST/OpenAPI, webhooks, messaging and event-driven architectures.Build reusable AI services and components that can scale across business domains.Apply robust LLM engineering practices including tool calling, validation, retries, fallbacks, guardrails and error recovery.Own solution quality across testing, evaluation, observability, security, performance, reliability and cost.Work closely with product owners, architects, engineers and business stakeholders throughout delivery.Contribute to multi-agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, code reviews, production troubleshooting and operational best practices.What We're Looking ForStrong hands-on experience building production-grade software and Generative AI / LLM / agentic AI solutions.Proven experience taking AI applications from requirements and design through deployment and production support.Strong Python skills plus at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or C#.Practical experience with MCP and modern agent orchestration frameworks or enterprise AI platforms.Strong understanding of APIs, asynchronous programming, typed data validation, CI/CD, testing, source control, logging, and error handling.Experience with vector databases/search platforms and production RAG.Experience integrating enterprise systems and deploying containerized applications in cloud environments.Strong judgment around reliability, latency, security, governance, performance and cost.Excellent English communication skills and experience working in international, cross-functional teams.A curious, business-first and human-centered approach to AI.Nice to haveExperience in aviation, transportation, logistics, supply chain, cargo, customer service or other complex operational environments is advantageous.Also valuable: classical ML/data science, full-stack development, Voice AI, workflow automation, CRM integrations, multilingual AI, AI evaluation frameworks and multi-agent architectures.Relocation & Benefits:The package includes:UAE employment visaEmployee medical insuranceInitial flight to the UAEReturn flight at the end of the assignmentApproved broker feeApartment-search assistanceLocal arrival/relocation supportIf you're an engineer who enjoys solving real operational problems with AI, not just building demos or prototypes, this could be an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale agentic AI in Abu Dhabi.Interested?
