Forward Deployed EngineerLocationAbu DhabiAbout the RoleWe're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help customers design, build and deploy production AI solutions. You'll work directly with client stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify high-value AI opportunities and deliver secure, scalable solutions using modern cloud infrastructure and AI technologies.This is a highly customer-facing role combining software engineering, cloud infrastructure and AI platform delivery.ResponsibilitiesPartner directly with customers to identify, design and deliver AI-powered applications, automations and agentic workflows.Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.Deploy and operate containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.Implement secure, production-ready environments including networking, secrets management, RBAC and monitoring.Develop observability using logging, metrics, distributed tracing and dashboards.Support production deployments, incident response and continuous improvement of deployed AI platforms.Collaborate with software engineers, AI engineers and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.Requirements5+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure.Strong Azure experience, including networking, compute, storage and managed services.Hands-on experience with Terraform or Bicep.Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.Docker and Kubernetes experience.Strong understanding of security, networking, secrets management and cloud best practices.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, ELK or OpenTelemetry.Excellent troubleshooting and production support skills.Comfortable working directly with customers and translating business requirements into technical solutions.Exposure to AI, LLMs or agentic workflows is highly desirable.Nice to HaveAzure AI services or AI platform deployment.Experience deploying production AI or machine learning workloads.Multi-cloud experience (AWS or GCP).Experience working in consulting or customer-facing engineering roles.
