Forward Deployed EngineerEden Prescott is partnering with one of our top Physical AI clients who have significant backing to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer as they scale deployments across complex, real-world operating environments.You’ll work directly with customers to understand how their businesses actually operate, identify high-value problems, and build technical solutions that move from idea to production quickly.You’ll sit at the intersection of software engineering, AI, data, customer operations and product, owning deployments from initial discovery through integration, launch and adoption.The environment is early-stage, highly technical and fast-moving. What you learn from customers won’t just influence individual implementations, it will directly shape the core product.What You’ll DoEmbed directly with customers to understand workflows, systems, data and operational bottlenecks.Turn messy, ambiguous business problems into clear technical solutions and deployment plans.Own implementations end-to-end — from discovery and architecture through integration, testing and production.Build integrations across APIs, databases, enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure and customer data environments.Work hands-on with Python, SQL, APIs and modern AI tooling to solve problems quickly.Debug complex issues spanning software, data, infrastructure, permissions and third-party systems.Partner with engineering and product teams to turn customer learnings into scalable product capabilities.Work directly with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders to ensure deployments create measurable operational value.Help establish the tooling, patterns and playbooks that make future deployments faster and more repeatable.What We’re Looking For5+ years of technical experience across software engineering, data engineering, systems integration, technical consulting, solutions engineering or similar.Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to reason across APIs, data models, infrastructure, security and distributed systems.Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, APIs, cloud environments and data integrations.Experience owning complex customer-facing technical projects from an ambiguous starting point through production.Comfortable operating without a detailed playbook and figuring things out as you go.Strong enough technically to earn credibility with engineers, but commercial enough to understand why the problem matters to the customer.Excellent communication skills across engineering teams, executives and operational users.Highly AI-native — you actively use modern AI tools to build, investigate, analyze and move faster.Willingness to travel regularly and spend meaningful time alongside customers.Based in, or willing to relocate to, Los Angeles.Experience deploying technology into physical-world (robotics, defense, industrial etc) is a nice to haveWhy This RoleThis is an opportunity to join an exceptionally ambitious Physical AI company at an early stage and have a disproportionate impact on both the product and its customers.You won’t be handing requirements back to an engineering team and waiting six months.You’ll be in the field, figuring out what matters, building the solution and helping define what the product becomes.Salary + significant equity + benefits
