Forward Deployed Engineer

About the OpportunityOur client is building an AI-powered platform that helps enterprise go-to-market teams automate complex sales workflows. As they expand into larger enterprise customers, they're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and solution architecture.This is a highly customer-facing technical role where you'll work directly with enterprise clients to implement solutions, build custom workflows, and help turn successful pilots into long-term production deployments. You'll also play a key role in influencing future product development by bringing customer feedback directly to the product team.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy the platform into customer environments, integrating with CRM systems, enrichment providers, sequencing platforms, and enterprise data warehouses.Design and build custom workflows and integrations tailored to each customer's go-to-market processes, including ICP scoring, territory routing, and signal-based automations.Partner with Sales during customer engagements by providing technical expertise, conducting live implementations, and accelerating time-to-value from demo to production.Document successful customer implementations and transform repeatable solutions into scalable product capabilities and best practices.Identify product enhancement opportunities through customer interactions and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to influence the product roadmap.Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer implementation lifecycle.Required QualificationsExperience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.Strong software engineering skills with experience writing production-quality code using technologies such as Python, TypeScript, Next.js, and SQL.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and executives.Hands-on experience integrating or working with CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, enrichment platforms, or enterprise data systems.Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments and collaborating across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or other coding agents.Previous experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science.Experience building APIs, integrations, or workflow automation solutions.What Makes This Role UniqueWork directly with enterprise customers on high-impact technical implementations.Influence product direction through direct customer feedback and real-world deployment experience.Collaborate closely with founding leadership, engineering, product, and sales teams.Opportunity to solve complex technical challenges while helping customers realize value quickly.
