Forward Deployed Engineer

This role focuses on transforming complex enterprise workflows into functional, real-world AI agents. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer delivery to build systems that bridge the gap between AI capabilities and current business operations.About the RoleEmbed directly with enterprise teams to understand their operations and identify high-impact AI opportunities.Lead projects from initial discovery through to production deployment and post-launch iteration.Combine deep technical work with customer context, asking incisive questions to ship practical solutions.Navigate unfamiliar environments and ambiguous requirements to deliver results without waiting for perfect specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesEmbed with clients to learn their workflows, operational constraints, and success metrics.Translate loosely defined operational challenges into concrete technical plans and production-ready systems.Design and build AI agents that seamlessly integrate with existing client tools, data, and business processes.Own the full deployment lifecycle from prototype to launch, monitoring, and continuous improvement.Test systems with real-world data, measure tangible business outcomes, and iterate based on concrete evidence.Make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs regarding architecture, speed, reliability, and user experience.Collaborate closely with internal Product and Engineering teams to improve the core platform.Translate insights from individual deployments into reusable tools, best practices, and repeatable patterns.What We're Looking For5+ years of experience in software development or solving complex technical problems.Strong foundational knowledge of software architecture, system design, and production engineering.Proven experience working with APIs, data flows, integrations, and distributed systems.Ability to bring structure and forward momentum to highly ambiguous problems.Confidence in interacting directly with clients, ranging from operational teams to technical stakeholders.Clear communication skills, sound judgment, and a high degree of ownership.Genuine curiosity about applied AI and its potential to reshape business operations.Nice to HavePrior experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing roles.Background in building workflow automation, conversational systems, or AI agents.Familiarity with LLM evaluation, observability, and production reliability.Experience deploying, maintaining, and improving systems within complex enterprise environments.
