ABOUT:The software engineering backbone of AI product builds — application code, APIs, and infrastructure glue that AI features run on.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Build and maintain the non-AI application code that AI features are embedded in (UI, APIs, data layer)Implement well-specified features and integrations under the direction of AI Architects/EngineersWrite unit and integration tests; maintain code quality bar across the codebaseSupport debugging and production issue triage across the application stackParticipate in agile delivery ceremonies — sprint planning, stand-ups, retrosDocument code and features for handoff and onboardingReceive and act on code review feedback constructivelyCommunicate progress and blockers transparently to the lead engineerREQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:2–5 yrs professional software engineering experience (any modern stack)Solid fundamentals — data structures, API design, testing discipline, version controlBasic familiarity with AI/ML concepts sufficient to work alongside AI Engineers without frictionGrowing familiarity with cloud deployment basics (CI/CD, containers)Reliable and detail-oriented — ships what was agreed, flags what wasn'tComfortable receiving and acting on code review feedbackGrowth-oriented — this is typically a stepping-stone role toward AI EngineerCommunicates clearly in stand-ups and written updates
