About the RoleAt EdgeVerve Forward Deployed Engineers embed directly with strategic customers to solve real-world engineering problems, build integrations, extensions, and workflows that accelerate product adoption and business value realization. This is neither a configuration role nor a delivery-consulting role. The role is responsible for shipping production-relevant code on live accounts, with field learnings feeding directly into the product roadmap through a structured feedback loop. The position is suited for engineers who can build deployable solutions quickly and demonstrate measurable customer impact.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with client engineering teams to understand goals, challenges, and priorities.Lead workshops, discovery sessions, solutioning, and technical discussions.Analyze customer operating workflows and identify gaps between the deployed product and account-specific requirementsDesign and build the custom integrations, connectors, and product extensions that close that gapDevelop working prototypes using customer data to validate feasibility before delivery momentum is impactedHarden validated prototypes to production-grade reliability and hand off cleanly to Support/Customer SuccessSynthesize field learnings into concrete, prioritized inputs for Product and Engineering, serving as a primary source of roadmap signal rather than only a delivery resourceServe as the account’s trusted technical point of contact through deployment and initial ramp-upRole Scope: Standard product configuration and steady-state training are explicitly out of scope beyond the initial ramp-up period. These activities are routed to Service delivery and self-service tooling. If day-to-day work is limited to configuration, the scope should be escalated rather than absorbed within EV FDE role.Required ProfileStrong software engineering fundamentals — comfortable owning code in production, not just prototypingHigh tolerance for ambiguity, including the ability to navigate undocumented customer workflowsCustomer-facing instincts — able to build trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders under real deadline pressureWillingness to travel or embed for extended stretches (cadence varies by account model)Prior experience in an embedded, forward-deployed, or high-ambiguity technical role is preferred but not mandatory; strong engineering, solutions, and consulting backgrounds are also relevantExperience - 12 years +Location - US (New York)Skills - Technical +Client facingImportant Note - Applicants currently should be residing in US, should have permanent US citizenship.
