Founding AI Engineer | Stealth AI Start-Up We are working with a London start-up using AI to transform a core, heavily regulated part of financial services. Rather than building tools for an existing industry, they’re rebuilding the service itself from the ground up, with AI doing the routine work and expert professionals focused on judgement.The team is small, well-funded and backed by top-tier investors, with paying clients already live on the platform.They’re now hiring a Founding AI Engineer to own how AI does the real work inside the product, from first prototype to something clients depend on.What you’ll own:Agentic workflows over live company financial data, from harness and evaluation through to what the end user actually seesProblems end to end: you pick them up, decide how to solve them and ship them into the productThe control and evidence layer around the models, so every step is logged, traceable and accountableA weekly feedback loop with the domain experts who use what you buildMessy, real-world integrations with financial systems, which is where most of the value sitsWhat they’re looking for:Depth in LLM development, harness building or LLM product engineering, strong in one and able to work across the stack when it countsEvidence over seniority: what you’ve shipped matters more than years, and side projects countYou build with AI natively, not bolted on afterwardsYou think about what doesn’t exist yet, not what’s currently doneStrong fundamentals over familiarity with any specific toolThe package:Up to £170k base + meaningful founding equityOn-site, London
