We're backed by one of the nation's leading venture capital firms and are assembling a small founding team of exceptional builders.This is an opportunity to help define the technical architecture, product, and culture of the company from day one.The RoleWe are seeking an exceptional AI-fluent Full-Stack Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision to lead development of the company’s core mobile platform. You will be one of the company's first engineering hires and will work directly with the Founder & CEO to build our flagship product from the ground up.This is not a maintenance role.You'll design systems, write production code, evaluate emerging AI technologies, solve difficult product problems, and help establish the engineering culture of the company.If you're looking for clear requirements and incremental feature requests, this role probably isn't for you. Most importantly, you enjoy solving real-world problems rather than simply experimenting with technology.Required Qualifications5+ years of professional software engineering experience (startup experience preferred)Proven experience building and shipping production softwareStrong full-stack engineering capabilities across mobile, backend, and cloud systemsExperience building AI-powered applicationsDemonstrated experience with computer vision technologies and image processingStrong proficiency in Python and one modern frontend/mobile frameworkExperience working with cloud infrastructure and modern API architecturesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsComfortable working directly with founders in a fast-moving startup environmentMUST be based in NYC and available to work from the company officePreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related technical field (strongly preferred)Experience with multimodal AI systemsExperience deploying computer vision models into productionExperience building mobile-first AI productsExperience with LiDAR, spatial computing, or AR frameworksExperience working with construction technology, mapping, robotics, or industrial AI is a plusRequirements added by the job poster• Must live in the NYC area and be able to work in and out of a Manhattan office
