We're profitable, growing quickly, and looking for exceptional engineers to help shape the future of our platform.The OpportunityWe are hiring a Founding Engineer to work directly with our leadership team and help build the core platform that powers Enterprise Intelligence.This is not a role for someone who wants a narrowly defined scope. We are looking for a highly technical, AI-native builder who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and enjoys turning ideas into production software.You will help define architecture, influence product direction, work directly with customers, and build systems that scale across enterprises.What You'll DoBuild core platform capabilities across AI workflows, agents, automation, and enterprise intelligence.Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs.Turn customer requirements into reusable platform features.Work directly with leadership and design partners to identify opportunities and prioritize what to build.Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering velocity.Help establish engineering practices, technical standards, and product direction.Contribute across the stack as needed.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications3+ years of software engineering experience.Strong backend engineering skills.Experience in a startup, founding engineer, early employee, or 0-to-1 environment.Demonstrated ability to ship products from concept through production.Deep familiarity with modern AI development workflows and AI-assisted engineering tools.Comfortable operating with limited direction and high ownership.Excellent communication skills and strong technical judgment.Preferred QualificationsFull-stack experience with React and TypeScript.Experience building AI-native products or agent-based systems.Contributions to open-source projects.Experience working directly with customers or design partners.Previous founder or founding engineer experience.Bay Area location or willingness to travel occasionally for team gatherings.Why Join Ember AI?Founding-level ownership and impact.Direct partnership with experienced founders and engineering leaders.AI-native culture and engineering environment.Real enterprise customers and meaningful product adoption.Significant growth opportunity as the company scales.Competitive compensation and meaningful equity opportunity.CompensationBase Salary: $200,000 - $250,000+Equity: Meaningful early-stage equity participationIf you're excited about building in a true 0-to-1 environment and want to help define how organizations leverage AI, we'd love to hear from you.
