Founding Engineer / Principal Product Engineer | £180–220k | London | 3 days per weekWe're searching for a CTO-calibre product engineer to take a leading role in building the next generation of an AI-native product.We're looking for someone who has built products from 0-1, architected complex systems and operated at CTO, Principal or Founding Engineer level, but now thinks about engineering in terms of leverage, automation and outcomes.The business is fundamentally changing how software is developed internally, using AI to generate implementation while engineers focus on product architecture, system design, specification, automation and solving the right problems.You might currently be:A hands-on CTO / Technical Co-Founder from a high-growth start-upA Principal/Senior Staff Engineer who has built and scaled products from scratchA Founding Engineer who's gone on to own wider technical directionSomeone already operating within an AI-native engineering environmentGo/Rust experience is highly relevant, but engineering philosophy and product-building ability matter more than matching a specific stack.We're particularly interested in people who measure their impact by what they've enabled a product or small team to achieve, rather than the volume of code they've personally produced.If you believe the future of exceptional engineering is less manual coding and significantly greater leverage through AI and automation, I'd be very interested in speaking.
