Founding Engineer

Speak to the customer. Understand the problem. Build the solution. Own it after it ships.I’m working with a YC-backed startup looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who wants that level of responsibility.You’ll work directly with the founders, build across the product and turn customer needs into software that gets used.The role includes:Shipping frontend and backend changes.Investigating and resolving production issues.Speaking directly with customers.Making sensible decisions when the problem is clearer than the specification.You should be comfortable building across the stack and taking work through to completion.Early-stage experience is useful, but substantial projects or independent builds can also demonstrate the right background.Deep AI expertise is not required.New York, five days a week in person.
