Founding EngineerCross-chain FX and settlements infrastructureUS (New York)$250k + EquityPlexus has partnered with a new client building next-generation financial infrastructure at the intersection of AI, financial markets, and blockchain.They’re looking for a Founding Engineer to join at the ground floor and help architect and build the core platform from scratch.The RoleDesign and build core infrastructure across financial markets, settlement, and blockchain.Shape protocol and system architecture alongside the founders.Ship production-grade systems, primarily in Rust, with ZK and Solidity also relevant.Use AI-native workflows and agentic orchestration to dramatically accelerate development.Own problems end-to-end, from architecture through production.What They’re Looking For:NYC-based or willing to relocate.AI-native: experienced using multiple AI agents in parallel to increase engineering velocity.Founder mentality or experience solving genuinely hard technical problems.Strong systems background; Rust is the primary language.Experience in areas such as HFT, DeFi, compilers, kernels, or other high-complexity systems is highly relevant.
