They have an exceptional track record of building real-world solutions to solve real-world solutions.They have scaled quarter-on-quarter since their conception, and built a world-class team and are now looking for a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to support project delivery and customer engagements.Role ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end deployment of our agentic AI product into customer environments - from initial technical scoping through go-live and iterationSit directly with customers to understand their workflows, data, and constraints, translating messy real-world problems into working agent architecturesRapidly prototype, build, and harden custom integrations, tools, and agent workflows tailored to each customer's stackAct as the technical voice of the customer internally, feeding learnings back into the core product roadmapDebug and resolve issues in live, high-stakes deployments, often under time pressureHelp define internal best practices for agent design, evaluation, and deployment as some of the first written at the companyTravel to customer sites as needed to accelerate deployments and build trust with technical stakeholdersPartner closely with founders on hiring, process, and technical strategy as the forward-deployed function scalesKey SkillsStrong software engineering fundamentals, with the ability to write production-quality code quickly across the stackHands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic frameworks (tool use, orchestration, RAG, evaluation)Comfort operating in ambiguity - you can turn a vague customer problem into a scoped technical plan without much hand-holdingExcellent communication skills; equally credible explaining architecture to engineers and outcomes to non-technical stakeholdersA bias toward action and iteration over polish - you'd rather ship something imperfect and improve it than wait for certaintyPrior experience in a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or founding engineer role is a strong plusWillingness to travel and work directly on-site with customers when neededGenuine excitement about being an early, high-leverage hire at a fast-moving startup
