Company Description Jurny is building AI models that simulate how real customers behave.We create synthetic users that navigate digital experiences like real people, helping product teams predict experiment outcomes, understand customer behavior, and identify friction before changes go live.We’re tackling a hard problem at the intersection of machine learning, agents, experimentation, and human behavior.Role Description We’re looking for a Founding Machine Learning Engineer to build the core intelligence behind Jurny.You’ll own problems end-to-end, from experimentation to production:Train and fine-tune models on real customer behaviorModel user intent, preferences, and decision-makingBuild rigorous evaluation systems for simulation accuracyDesign scalable training and data pipelinesShip models into production and continuously improve themYou’ll work directly with the founders and have significant influence over our ML architecture, research direction, and engineering culture.Full-time. In-person in San Francisco or remote.What We’re Looking ForStrong ML, statistics, and CS fundamentalsExperience training or evaluating modern ML modelsStrong Python and PyTorch experienceExperience building production ML systemsComfortable working with ambiguity and moving quicklyHigh ownership and strong product instinctsExperience with LLM post-training, RL, agentic systems, behavioral modeling, or simulation is a plus.More than credentials, we care about what you’ve built, what you owned, and how you think.
