About the CompanySiPhox Health is building a next-generation, silicon-photonics–based blood testing platform that brings advanced clinical diagnostics into the home. Our technology integrates precision optics, microfluidics, and immunoassay chemistry into a compact system capable of generating laboratory-quality biomarker results from a small capillary blood sample. We are expanding our manufacturing operations and are hiring five Founding Manufacturing Operators to help build the production engine behind our cartridge and instrument platform. This is a hands-on, high-precision role at the intersection of semiconductor technology, microfluidics, and biotechnology.About the RoleAs a Founding Manufacturing Operator, you will not only execute production processes, you will help define them. These first operator hires will help establish production workflows, assembly standards, quality documentation practices, multi-shift operational discipline, and training processes for future team members. Operators will be cross-trained across multiple production areas, including cartridge assembly, reagent handling, optical packaging, and instrument operation.ResponsibilitiesMicrofluidic Cartridge AssemblyAssemble diagnostic cartridges integrating silicon photonic chipsIntegrate flow cells, seals, adhesives, and precision componentsPerform visual and mechanical inspection of assembled unitsExecute controlled assembly procedures with high repeatabilityOptical PackagingAlign and mount silicon photonic chips and optical components to production tolerancesPerform die attach, wire bonding support, and optical coupling/alignment procedures as directed by process engineeringOperate and monitor optical test/alignment equipment to verify coupling efficiency and performanceInspect packaged optical assemblies for defects, misalignment, or damageMaintain precise handling and ESD/contamination controls appropriate to sensitive optical componentsReagent Handling & Carousel LoadingFill reagent reservoirs and rotating carousels with microliter precisionHandle biological reagents under controlled lab conditionsMaintain strict lot traceability and material controlPrevent contamination through disciplined workspace managementInstrument OperationRun cartridges on development and validation instrumentsExecute defined test protocolsLog, track, and organize performance dataIdentify deviations, troubleshoot basic issues, and escalate appropriatelyProcess Development & Continuous ImprovementProvide feedback on SOPs and workflow optimizationHelp refine assembly fixtures and production layoutSupport validation, verification, and scale-up activitiesContribute to building a disciplined, high-throughput manufacturing cultureShift Structure & Operational GrowthTo support accelerated development and validation timelines, we are building structured shift coverage. Operators will be cross-trained across cartridge assembly, optical packaging, reagent handling, and instrument operation to support flexible coverage across both shifts. Two shift options:1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PMExtended or weekend coverage may be added as throughput increases. Some roles may operate on fixed shifts; others may support flexible coverage during peak periods. Shift differentials may apply.QualificationsRequiredExceptional attention to detailStrong fine motor skills and comfort handling small componentsExperience in laboratory, semiconductor, biotech, or medical device environmentsAbility to follow controlled documentation and SOPs rigorouslyStructured and methodical work stylePreferredExperience with microfluidics or fluid handling systemsExperience with optical alignment, photonics packaging, or semiconductor packaging processesExperience operating analytical or diagnostic instrumentsFamiliarity with GMP, ISO 13485, or regulated environmentsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, or related fieldWhy Join SiPhox?Be part of the founding manufacturing team of a breakthrough diagnostics platformWork at the intersection of photonics, microfluidics, and biotechnologyHelp scale a venture-backed company redefining blood testingBuild expertise in a rare and highly technical manufacturing environmentGrow with the company as operations expandWe provide medical, dental and vision insurance benefitsSiPhox deeply cares about employee's health and provides a fully paid LifeTime Gym Membership
