Role: Full-time Founding OperatorAbout Aurora GenesisAurora Genesis is building technology that lets people preview how major life choices may shape their future.Today, people make some of the most important decisions of their lives (who to commit to, where to live, what role to take, what path to leave, what future to choose) with very little ability to see how those choices may affect who they become.Aurora Genesis is changing that. Our first product, Aurora Origins, uses a Brain Biography Engine and Life Choice Simulator to help people understand their current neural landscape, identify the patterns that shaped them, and simulate plausible paths forward. The Brain Biography Engine models the person: their developmental history, behavioral patterns, environmental context, and likely neural architecture. The Life Choice Simulator models the path: how different choices, environments, and commitments may change the person over time.Together, they create a new kind of product experience: not a personality quiz, not generic wellness advice, and not a chatbot with affirmations, but a personalized simulation layer for human decision-making.We are early, ambitious, research-driven, and moving fast. Now we need someone to help build the company around the vision.Your Role as Founding OperatorRight now, the company’s strategy, product architecture, research plans, investor process, hiring needs, advisor relationships, and launch roadmap are moving quickly.Your job is to turn that motion into an operating system. You’ll work directly with the Founder & CEO and become the person who helps convert complex, high-context strategy into executed work. You will not be handed a neat list of tasks every morning. You will be expected to identify the biggest constraints on the business, organize them, and remove them. This is a role for someone who likes the blank page. Someone who can take a messy founder conversation and turn it into a plan.Someone who can manage product, hiring, research, financing, legal, and launch workstreams without needing every detail explained twice.Someone who understands that early-stage operations is facilitating company architecture. What you’ll doBuild the operating system for the company: priorities, dashboards, trackers, documents, workflows, ownership, meeting rhythms, and decision records.Run cross-functional execution across product, research, hiring, fundraising, partnerships, legal/IP, and launch.Help coordinate the build of Aurora Origins, including the Brain Biography Engine, Life Choice Simulator, Control Room experience, simulation flows, and early founding-access product.Work with engineers, designers, scientific contributors, advisors, and contractors to keep complex workstreams moving.Build the early hiring machine: sourcing, candidate pipelines, interview loops, work samples, references, offer coordination, and onboarding.Support fundraising execution by managing investor materials, data rooms, follow-ups, diligence processes, and close logistics.Help operationalize research and validation work across datasets, advisors, academic collaborators, technical contributors, and publication milestones.Turn repeated internal workflows into AI-enabled systems, automations, templates, and playbooks.Help structure strategic partnerships, including research relationships, advisor engagement, launch partners, and future headquarters planning.Do whatever the business needs that week, and then turn the repeated version into a system. What we’re looking forYou’ve worked in an early-stage startup, founder’s office, venture-backed company, venture studio, consulting role, product operations role, or similarly intense zero-to-one environment. You have operated close to a founder, CEO, or senior leadership team before. You are comfortable with ambiguity and do not need someone else to define the job for you.You can move between strategy and execution without losing speed. You are very organized, but you do not create process for its own sake. You can write clearly, summarize complexity, and keep decisions from disappearing into conversation. You are comfortable working around product, engineering, AI, data, legal, research, and scientific concepts. You are fluent with AI tools and naturally look for ways to automate, systematize, and compress work. You have strong judgment and can handle sensitive information with discretion. You are high-agency, direct, and allergic to passive ownership. You are excited by what Aurora Genesis is building and can take the work seriously at both levels: the practical startup execution and the larger scientific/product ambition.Nice to haveExperience in AI, healthtech, consumer health, neuroscience, psychology, human development, research commercialization, or scientific product development.Experience helping raise or manage a seed financing process.Experience building internal systems from scratch.Experience working with technical teams.Experience managing contractors, advisors, agencies, or external partners.Experience using tools like Notion, Linear, Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, Clay, HubSpot, Zapier, Make, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar AI/workflow systems. Not a fit ifYou want a narrow operations role with stable responsibilities. You need mature company infrastructure to be effective. You prefer waiting for assignments instead of identifying what needs to happen. You are uncomfortable working directly with a founder. You dislike scientific or technical ambiguity. You want a predictable low-intensity role. What we’re offeringA ground-floor operating role at a company creating a new category in personalized neural simulation.Direct work with the Founder & CEO from the earliest stage.Ownership over the systems that will shape how the company hires, builds, raises, launches, and scales.A path to a senior leadership role as the company grows and the fit is strong.$125K–$165K base salary plus meaningful founding-stage equity.A chance to help build something genuinely new at the intersection of neuroscience, AI, simulation, and human decision-making.LocationThis role is remote-first at the start. After Aurora Genesis secures its New York City headquarters, the role will become hybrid with significant in-person collaboration. The exact schedule will be designed around the company’s build rhythm, but candidates should expect regular time in New York and heavier in-person work during launches, financing periods, hiring pushes, and major product milestones.Exceptional remote candidates may be considered if they are willing to travel regularly and transition toward New York-based hybrid work as the company scales.
