Founding Product Engineer

Location: IT Park, Cebu City, PhilippinesSchedule: Hybrid / US Time (Night Shift)Employment Type: Full-TimeRole Overview We're looking for an experienced, hands-on engineering leader to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable web applications.

Experience with Next.js and Supabase is preferred, but we're also open to highly skilled full stack developers with experience in similar technologies who are eager to learn and work with our stack.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end web application developmentDefine architecture and engineering best practicesBuild scalable backend systems, APIs, and databasesGuide frontend development and performance optimizationMentor developers and conduct code reviewsDrive technical decisions, CI/CD, and deployment processesCollaborate with product, design, and business teamsResolve complex technical issuesRequirements7+ years of full stack software development experienceExperience leading engineering teams or technical projectsStrong knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar)Experience with backend technologies such as Supabase, Firebase, AWS, Node.js, .NET, or similarSolid understanding of SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and software architectureExperience using Claude as part of the software development workflow is a plusStrong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, including Next.js and SupabaseLeadership & Soft SkillsStrong technical leadership and mentoring abilityStrategic thinking and product ownership mindsetExcellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to balance speed vs scalability decisionsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsWork Set up:FTE, HybridNight Shift (12am- 9am Philippine time) with occasional after-hours support.Support the local team in Cebu, Philippines, and HQ in Los Angeles, CA.
