Founding Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

We are a well-funded, stealth enterprise AI company founded by repeat entrepreneurs with a track record of building and scaling category-defining infrastructure software companies. Backed by a $38M seed round from leading venture investors, we are building a web-scale AI platform designed to move enterprises from passive data visualization and traditional software workflows toward AI-driven, autonomous execution.We are looking for a foundational Senior Mobile Engineer to own our mobile experience end to end. This is a hybrid role based in Mountain View, California, with regular in-person collaboration with our team.This is a true 0-to-1 build. You will define our mobile architecture, ship our first iOS application to enterprise customers, and establish the technical direction for Android and shared cross-platform code.Enterprise revenue teams spend significant time in the field, making mobile a critical surface for how users interact with AI agents at the moment work actually happens. You will own that surface.What You Will DoOwn iOS from architecture through App Store: Design, build, and ship our native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI. You will own navigation, state management, offline behavior, background sync, push notifications, and the release and distribution pipeline for enterprise customers.Define our cross-platform strategy: Establish an approach that allows a small engineering team to support both iOS and Android without creating two divergent products. Build the shared business logic, synchronization, and data layers that support the mobile experience.Make AI agents feel native on mobile: Translate streaming, long-running, and asynchronous AI-agent workflows into fast, intuitive mobile experiences, including real-time updates, graceful behavior on unreliable networks, and responsive interfaces while agents continue working in the background.Build for enterprise-grade requirements: Implement capabilities including SSO, secure local storage, MDM-friendly distribution, observability, and crash reporting required to operate mission-critical software within large enterprises.Set the technical bar for mobile: Own mobile performance, accessibility, automated testing, and CI/CD. Partner closely with design and backend engineering to define the APIs and infrastructure the client needs.What We Are Looking For3+ years of professional mobile engineering experience, including experience shipping and maintaining production iOS applications used by real customers.A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.Deep expertise in Swift and iOS development, with strong knowledge of SwiftUI and UIKit and an understanding of when to use each.Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, application lifecycle, and debugging complex issues that appear in production environments and on physical devices.Meaningful cross-platform experience, whether through Android development or technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform, React Native, or Flutter.The ability to thoughtfully evaluate the tradeoffs between shared code and native fidelity rather than defaulting to a single technical approach.Strong product instincts. You care deeply about how the product feels, recognize when a design will not translate effectively to mobile, and can turn ambiguous requirements into a polished shipped experience.Experience working with distributed backend systems and APIs, including synchronization, caching, conflict resolution, authentication, and offline-first data.The technical depth to collaborate as a peer with backend engineers on architecture and API design.A high degree of ownership and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.Ability to work hybrid from our Mountain View office and collaborate regularly with the team in person.Who You AreYou want to own mobile at the company, not execute tickets against someone else’s roadmap.You are comfortable being the first or only mobile engineer on the team and serving as the most senior technical voice for the platform.You are a high-agency, self-driven builder who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes significant ownership of your work.You care deeply about product quality and enjoy turning ambiguous problems into shipped experiences.You value true collaboration over ego, are open to constructive feedback, and know how to disagree and commit to keep the team moving forward.
