FP&A Analyst - Fast Growth Tech Scale-Up - London (Hybrid) We’re partnering with a growing business looking to hire a high-calibre FP&A Analyst into an established finance team. This is a broad, commercially focused role offering exposure across both reporting and commercial responsibilities.The business is looking for someone with a few years of relevant experience who has built strong foundations in finance, has started or completed professional exams, and is now looking for a role where they can take on greater responsibility and accelerate their development.Importantly, this is a role where attitude, ambition and professionalism are just as important as technical ability. The successful candidate will be naturally curious, proactive and willing to get to grips with problems rather than waiting to be given the answer.The RoleThe role is effectively split 50/50 between commercial reporting and forward-looking FP&A, giving you exposure across a broad range of finance activities.You will be responsible for:Producing regular commercial and financial performance reporting, providing clear insight into business performance.Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.Preparing analysis and reporting packs for senior stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accurate, clear and commercially relevant.Supporting the business with forward-looking analysis, scenario planning and forecasting.Taking financial data and turning it into clear, meaningful information that helps stakeholders make better decisions.Working closely with wider finance and commercial teams to understand performance and challenge assumptions where appropriate.Maintaining and improving financial models, reporting files and analytical tools.Cleansing, manipulating and validating data to ensure the quality and accuracy of financial reporting.Investigating discrepancies and anomalies within data and reporting, getting to the root cause rather than simply flagging the issue.Providing commentary alongside financial outputs and explaining the key movements and drivers behind performance.Supporting ad-hoc commercial analysis and projects as required.Helping to improve existing FP&A processes, reporting and ways of working.Acting as a source of guidance for the analysts and helping to establish strong working habits, professionalism and attention to detail within the team.Why This Role?This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has established themselves as a strong finance analyst and is ready for the next step in responsibility.You’ll gain exposure across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and business partnering, while also having the opportunity to develop your people-management skills through responsibility for two analysts.The business is particularly interested in people with ambition, energy and the right attitude.
